Susan Boyle CD -
"I Dreamed A Dream" - What strikes me
most about Susan Boyle's story is how it illustrates the quantum notion that
life can change in an instant. I was one of the millions who saw her April
2009 debut, and watched the news stories over the months since with curiosity
and sometimes sympathy, crossing fingers that her spirit would triumph over the
inevitable assault of what everyone thinks and what the media will make of it.
This time last year her life was pretty ordinary, - Susan had barely completed a
try out for a talent show but looming on the horizon was the April 11/09 event
where the light of the world would shine on her . She didn't win the
contest but she did win the hearts of the world for something deeper which I
think you will find on this lovely CD. Every track is a keeper, is meaningful
and uplifting. The coherence of integrity, honesty, and inner purpose vibrates
throughout -perhaps a sign that she is surrounded by folks motivated by doing
the right thing (at least I hope so). It is a reminder that our intentions
can be launched into manifestation from out of no where if we keep our faith and
do our best. I recommend this CD as gifts or as something for
yourself to boost your own intentions.

This is quickly
growing to be one of my favorite books from the Integral Thinking
community. It is the 'Martha Stewart' hands on manual for improving
your life based on the consciousness theories largely developed by Ken
Wilber (A Theory of Everything) and many other collaborators. Looking
for the User's Guide' to your life? This could be one significant
map!

Big Mind - Big Heart: Finding Your Way
- By Zen Master Dennis Genpo Merzel -
Combining his deep learnings from Zen teaching and the powerful technique of
Voice Dialogue work, Merzel has created a new healing modality that can help
anyone shift perspectives and consequently greater healing in a lot less time.
Spiritual understanding of truths that typically take decades to learn can be
understood and integrated more easily as evidenced on the cd. Yes, the book
comes with a CD intro and some exercises which I love. The book is
written in practical terms so that anyone can pick it up and start experiencing
a shift. I plan to integrate some of this into my Resonance Repatterning
sessions.

According
to Author John Ratey, M.D, 10 years ago, science about
the benefits of exercise and the brain was sparse, and
the theory largely ignored. 5 years ago, there was
a "well maybe" attitude in the scientific community.
Today, not a week goes by without another research study
publishing results about exercise benefiting the brain
in ways previously thought unbelievable. I found the
story of the |
psychologist who ran for his life every day
after being diagnosed with a terminally ill disease to
be an uplifting and optimistic story. I
recommend
this book to start small and get back your motivation
for regular exercise.

A terrific book that goes into
detail about how society and the food industry have shaped our
decisions about food. This book will help you change your
life lifestyle with some of its compelling arguments.
Author Pollan's tips for |

healthy
eating are convincing me to start a garden on my balcony
and cultivate new habits at the grocery store. My
favorite tip for Pollan is "Don't buy anything called
food that your great great grandmother would not
recognize. If she would not recognize the
ingredients, it is probably not food". Just
thinking about this advice makes me see my pantry and
food choices with new eyes. I recommend this book for
motivation to make healthier food choices.
